The Trouble with wellies

I love my wellies; I have an old trusted pair on their second year. They are comfy, still watertight and eminently practical. The only thing that lets them down is style. I am not the kind of person to come in and change before the school run and much to the embarrassment of my kids, will happily rock up at the school gate in muddy wellies. However if I then need to make a trip into town I do curse my decision not to change as I bump into friends I know looking all glamorous and asking if I’d like to join them for a coffee. I shuffle awkwardly, make some lame excuse about being in a rush, do the necessary chores and scurry back to the farm where I look more the part.

Rockfish – where style meets practicality

Wellies with attitude

When the vivacious Jules, who owns Rockfishwellies.com, came to meet me here at Coombe Mill, it was like seeing the answer to all those embarrassing moments. Rockfish are a Cornish company looking to develop their international brand into the UK market and major on style and quality in addition to the everyday practicality you expect from a welly boot. I am super excited to be working with Jules as our brands are a perfect match and I just LOVE the new design “Short and Lacey Boots” hot off the production line.

These boots are seriously comfy, well made and oozing style in a way I have never seen on a welly before. They are perfect on a country woodland walk with the kids.

Now I can even go straight on to do some shopping and not worry if I bump into a friend. In fact it is a pleasure to say “yes” to that coffee!

Product Details

The wellies sell for £59.99 on the Rockfish website. They are fully waterproof with a high natural rubber content and the promise and look of being exceedingly durable, though I must admit I am keeping my white laces away from the properly muddy sections of the farm. The feel is cool and comfy with a generous ankle width allowing for thick socks, leg warmers or as I’ve used boot toppers for a chic finish. They come in two colours Caraffe (brown) and Koi (orange / red) and are sent out beautifully packaged in a substantial box so would also be perfect as a Christmas gift for someone. *Hint hint all you Dad bloggers*

Rockfish are offering FREE shipping anywhere in the UK including the Highlands and Islands and the Republic of Ireland and just for followers of Coombe Mill if you order a pair in December this year use the discount code of GiftDec for a 10% discount making them just £53.99. A bargain!
