Country Kids from Coombe Mill

Sticks and stones won't break their bones!

I love it when kids play outdoors with nothing more than space and imagination. My triplets and their new friends had so much fun with sticks and a pretend battle ground on our new land, they quite lost themselves in the games and played happily till tea. I think Daddy originally sent them out to collect stones from the land ready for grass seeding, that bit somehow became forgotten! Despite the whirling sticks and shouts from us parents no one was injured! Sometimes it is good to give them a little slack to enjoy their play.

Adding in a little structure then brings out the competitive spirit in all the children. Who can jump highest and furthest?

If you have been enjoying the great outdoors with the kids, please share your play time fun with me here on the linky;  new linky every Saturday promoting the benefits of fresh air and fun for children. If you can grab the badge too that would make my day:
