Country Kids Go Urban!
We are just back from a few days with Yia Yia, the children's Greek Grandmother in Lewes, East Sussex. I am amazed and delighted that in her mid seventies she still delights in us descending, creating mayhem in the house, Playing football and more in her beautiful garden, eating her out of house and home then leaving again! I hope I am as capable and willing to entertain my own grandchildren when the time comes! A day with a BBQ at a friends pool, much scooting at the town skate park and garden play filled our three days.
Olympic Stadium Treat
As a final treat Yia Yia had managed Olympic tickets for the older children and us for the Thursday! From the train up to watching the stadium erupt during the men's 400m relay with Team GB, it was an experience of a life time and one the children will remember for ever. Speaking of which I think some thank you letters will be in order now kids!
