A day out on a mini train!
Our next door village of St Teath had a family fun day organised through one of the residents in their amazing back garden! In this sleepy Cornish village is a group of train enthusiasts who open their wonderful garden to village events and train rides for the children. We took Clio and her friend along as Farmer Nick has his eye on something similar for Coombe Mill! I am so excited by the prospect it's not true, it would be amazing to have all this fun for our holiday makers right here at Coombe Mill. The girls had a wonderful time and gave the idea a huge thumbs up. I have further encouraged Nick with photos from Single Married Mum from her lovely experience linked to Coombemill in June.

I thought these track photos lent themselves really well to the old style photo look. The whole fun day was a little like a trip back in time to be fair, but in all the best ways!

The tables and chairs in the garden with tea coffee and cakes being served completed the scene, the girls enjoyed running around and visiting the pond too!

Keep watching the blog for a "Honey I bought a train" post! I would love to be able to do it for next summer, some penny counting to be done and rescheduling of our 5 year plan!
