This beautiful large holiday cottage is an original Cornish Longhouse believed to have been the Miller's residence when Coombe Mill was an old working water mill back in the 16th Centuary.  It has been tastefully modernised to make a spacious 5 bedroom property for today’s living. The cottage retains many of the period features within the strong thick granite walls, whilst benefiting from modern family comforts and facilities. Millers House is ideal for an extended family holiday or for 2 families to share. It benefits from a lovely modern conservatory leading out into the private fenced garden, great to relax in day or night bringing the outside inside and safely enclosed for young children and dogs.

There is a grand entrance hall with plenty of useful space and a raised understairs area full of toys to keep little ones busy. The cosy wood burning stove set within the original living room fireplace brings character and charm making a perfect retreat on summer or winter evenings. This large holiday cottage has a farmhouse kitchen to match it's size. This is the oldest section of the house with original beams throughout. In keeping with the space we have added an old style looking modern electric range cooker into the beautiful inglenook fireplace. This gives a practical place to cook large family meals in a characterful space. There is no need to cook alone in the kitchen, with a childs drawing table built into one of the window spaces, a breakfast bar and large dining table it is a social room for all the family to enjoy on holiday together. Millers House has bedrooms upstairs and down with plenty of bathrooms for you to enjoy this large holiday cottage without feeling in one another's space. For a special holiday treat enjoy a relaxing soak in the roll top bath the master bedroom ensuite.

Downstairs - A cosy living room, conservatory with comfy chairs, large kitchen/diner, single bedroom with an adjacent w.c. and a double room with en suite toilet and shower room.

Upstairs - Large master bedroom with kingsize bed and large en suite bathroom with toilet and shower, family bathroom with bath and shower, second king bedroom and twin bedroom.

Outside - Private garden with patio and bench seat and steps leading to a lawn.

Millers House has one or two steps leading to different parts of the house both downstairs and upstairs, for more information please refer to the floor plans. 

The kitchen, living room, hallway and conservatory all have slate flooring which may be something to consider with elderly relatives or toddlers. 

Millers House also has low ceilings throughout.

Wi-Fi - There is Wi-Fi available in certain areas of the house, it is strongest closer to windows.

Heating - Millers House has oil fired central heating with radiators you can adjust to suit and access to the control panel to turn it off should you wish.

Hot Water - The central heating boiler also heats your hot water, we will show you how to access the immersion heater on arrival.

Electricity - Electricity is included in the price of the booking.

Parking for Millers House is in the main car park with a flat 15 second walk to the house.

Daily Farm Rides - 9am each morning except Saturdays- Join Farmer Nick or Farmer Amber on the tractor to have a hands on experience with our farm animals.

Daily Train Rides - Weather permitting - Join us on our miniature railway each evening excluding Saturdays.

Activity Hour - Subject to demand - A chance for you and your little ones to get crafty on the farm.

Fishing - Rod licence required - We have two course fishing lakes. Perfect for fisherman of all abilities with rods available to borrow.

Cots - £5 each* - One full size wooden cot available, any subsequent cots will be travel cots.

High Chairs - £5 each* - Simple wipe down plastic high chairs, no harness included.

Blackout Blinds- £2.50* - Price per room.

Bed Guards- Free - Book per bed.

Stair Gates- Free - We have stair gates built into the property at both the top and bottom of the stairs

Babysitting - approximately £10 hour minimum of 2 hours - We can book you a local babysitter if you wish to enjoy an adult only evening out.

Log Burners - £15* - Log burner starter set including matches, fire lighters, kindling and logs with unlimited supply of logs throughout your stay.

Hand Towels - £1.20*

Bath Towels - £2.00*

Fishing Lessons - £10 - an hours fishing lesson complete with a rod which is then yours to keep.

Pets

Dogs - £25-£40* - We allow up to two dogs in Millers House per booking at a cost of £25 for one or £40 for two.

Please be aware that we do not allow pets over the School Summer Holidays.

Generally no other pets, please call with specific enquiries.

Honesty Shop - We have a small honesty shop selling simple essentials like UHT milk, jam, sugar, rice as well as home cooked meals, and pizzas in the freezer.

Village Shop - Just up the hill there is a lovely village shop that stocks all the extras you might need. 

Supermarket - Major supermarkets in Bodmin and Wadebridge as well as a small co-op in Camelford.

Most major supermarkets deliver to us but make sure you include the property name & booking name on the order to ensure it finds you.
