Welcome to the education page - where learning is fun!

At Coombe Mill we aim to give children a holiday to remember, one they will talk about for months after leaving. Meeting new friends and helping out on the farm is an experience they will cherish. Best of all, not only is it sociable and great fun, but they will learn while they play without even realising it!

Our morning tractor and trailer feed run led by Farmers Nick and Ted, is truly hands on for all ages. The children will learn about farm safety, the welfare of the animals, their diets, habitats, life cycles and so much more as they ask questions on their favourite areas of interest. Good news for parents is that what the children are learning supports the School National Curriculum at foundation stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. The direct links are in Science (science 2: life processes and living things) and Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) however our carefully constructed worksheets link through into Literacy, Numeracy and Geography as well.

If you would like to supplement your child's experiences and learning here on the farm then please do print off some of the worksheets below and bring them with you on holiday.

All the worksheets have been teacher approved as relevant and supportive to the national curriculum. The tasks build in difficulty within the subject areas, please just use the ones you feel relevant to your child's ability and age within the Key stage groups, or use some from two stages if your child is between levels.

We have 2 lovely line drawings here you may like to print off to colour or paint. They are suitable for all ages and also available here in our reception shop.
