Our Family all help at Coombe Mill

Happy to help

“Hello!” from the Cambouropoulos family. We moved to Coombe Mill in 2002, giving up the South East ‘rat race’ in favour of the ‘good life’ in the country. We had 3 very young children then and, within 2 years of arriving, doubled the family with triplets! Coombe Mill is our business, our passion and our hobby and we live here in the heart of the estate. This is our home which we love to share with you here on holiday. If there is anything you need we are happy to help and have a handy intercom from our house to the reception shop. Email at any time of the day or night and you will be surprised at the times we will come right back to you!

“Everyone on holiday will become very familiar with with me, especially the children. I take the morning tractor and trailer rides with all the children, parents and grandparents at 9 am from our car park. I love to answer all your questions on animal welfare and am always looking for young volunteers to help drive the tractor with me, feed and care for the animals as we go round. The children love to give me a friendly wave as I potter about my daily business on the tractor during the day. I am the one to see about fishing on our lakes and river and the DIY expert for anything which needs fixing.”

I am wife to Farmer Nick and mummy to our 6 children and will probably be your first contact with Coombe Mill as I manage the office. Welcoming you to Coombe Mill when you arrive and sharing all the exciting things to do on holiday is one of my great pleasures along with updating you with all the latest farm news via our blog, facebook, twitter and Google+ pages. Do jump on board, join the chat and become a part of our life at Coombe Mill.

Hi, I am the eldest of the Cambouropoulos children. Now a teenager I help Dad on the farm, love to drive the tractor, though I am not allowed to do the feed run yet! I check the ‘honesty book in reception for any notes from our guests, lock reception each night and am the ‘odd job boy’ on a Saturday tractoring round to empty the rubbish and check lights and smoke alarms etc in all the properties ready for your arrival. I love to ‘hang out’ on the farm with any older children staying.

Felix and the Triplets, Guy , Jed and Clio

I am Felix, born in the year 2000 and am in charge of the triplets who are 8 and together on a Saturday we strip the beds and start the washing machines for Mum. This helps the cleaners to be quicker at their job so we are ready for your arrival. We all love to meet and play with the children staying here on the farm in our school holidays.

I am 10 and I love to care for the animals. The rabbits are my favourite and I am responsible for feeding them each night, cleaning their home and locking them up at night to protect them from the fox! I also do the animal feeding for Dad on a Saturday as this is the only day there are no guests feed run. I love to meet the new children staying at our farm and show them the animals.

Farmer Ted

Farmer Ted

I am Farmer Ted and likely to become the children’s best friend along with Farmer Nick. I live locally in the village, am a retired civil servant and Coombe Mill is my retirement joy. I live in the village with my wife and daughter (one of the Coombe Mill cleaning team) and have been helping Nick out on the farm for many years. I do the tractor rides on a few days mid week and love meeting all the new and returning guests.

The Cleaners

Our Cleaning team work form 9am -3pm on a Saturday to ensure all our properties are spick and span ready for your arrival. They are a lovely local group of ladies, many of whom have been with us for generations and fully understand our properties and your need to find them in tip top shape. They take a well earned coffee break in our house where we can pass on any important information and often this is when left property comes to light! Please say hello to them if you arrive early to explore the grounds and they are still working hard.
