The sun shone from dawn to dusk, how could anyone resisit having fun outdoors? Our children have played out till late with friends at the farm and we have seized every opportunity for a trip to Polzeath beach. The waves were perfect for body boarding so we took full advantage. With rock pools, rocks to climb, acres of golden sand, good parking and facilities it is a great family beach. Despite the gorgeous weather the beach remained largely deserted. I love the feel of the sand and sea salt against my body and the joy of the children laughing and playing. Weeks like this remind me just how beautiful Cornwall is and how lucky I am.
I love this video clip of Jed in the rock pool for the sheer excitement busting from his whole demeanour
An impromptu BBQ was just a delightful way to round off a hard day at the beach. My chance to pass the cooking baton to Nick, for the children to catch up with friends and the grown-ups chill out with Pimm’s and marvel on the wonders of the British weather!
Just for the record, Guy has not cut himself in this photo, just an overload on the tomato ketchup!
I can only imagine you have all had a wonderful week too and look forward to seeing your pictures. Please grab the badge and link up your outdoor fun below

These beautiful little ducklings are hatching in my laundry room as I type. The Gallery theme of extreme close up is perfect today so nipped into the laundry room, brifely lifting the lid on the incubator to bring you this:
If you hop over to the Gallery on Sticky Fingers you can see what other bloggers have photographed close up too.

I am not a music person at all and dread a meme heading my way on the subject as I know it will involve research on my behalf! This one from the lovely Donna and Elisabeth at Mummy Central and Kelly @domesticgoddesq is no exception! I have to confess to not having a clue what was even in the charts let alone at the top when any of my 6 children were born. Anyway I have duly some digging and these are the results:
Boyzone was number 1 with “All that I need”. They had made it big time with 10 consecutive top 4 singles. Thanks to the internet, I am sounding knowledgeable now!
Kylie Minogue was top of the charts with “Spinning Around”. Apparently it had been 10 years since she was last number 1.
Will Young had just won pop idol and “Evergreen” was at number one and became the biggest seller of the year with over a million sales in the first week alone.
McFly held the top slot with 5 colours in her hair. Not my favourite of their tracks but I think there is a tune hiding in there somewhere!
OK I now pass the baton onto
Gemma Louise a lovely new blogger and great tweeter
Laura New mummy to Leo who is always friendly and chatty
Kate Great guest post writter and tweeter who now has her own amazing blog up and running
