It must have taken me no longer than the ten seconds to type “yes please” to my invitation to try this gorgeous looking product from the prestigious Hotel Chocolat range. It’s not every day I am sent something looking so divine to try and I had just the occasion coming up to share it. We were invited to a wonderful pre Christmas dinner party with good friends at the weekend. It is polite to take a bottle but how original to go in with a stunning Christmas luxury chocolate wreath and at £21.00 a worthy dinner gift that really gets the “wow” award.
As I walked into a Dining room set for a party and a living room full of friends I know my present was perfect.
We were treated to a wonderful evening by our hosts that ran on into the early hours as all good parties do. Funny how no matter how many courses you eat there is always room for a little chocolate with coffee. The tear and share properties of this wreath is great with friends and family, if you are being polite then a knife cuts very well through the thick chocolaty mix but it has to be out on display first to appreciate it’s true splendour. The Box soon passed round sixteen of us at the party with plenty to spare, not surprising given the whopping 450g it contains. You can see from the photos the chocolate is stacked with mouth watering honeycomb and nutty tasting fragments in just the right combination. The full product details and allergy advice is on their website.
We were kindly invited to bring the remains back home where it took just seconds for my teens and tweens to devour. A festive wreath to share indeed!
Hotel Chocolat is more than just quality product, the brand stands for responsible and sustainable cocoa production. You can read all about their chocolate journey and ethical stance on the website, it is fascinating and great to know the chocolate you enjoy is helping communities grow too.
