Last week we made the most of Halloween with an action packed fun day here on the farm for all our guests. Among the many crafts on offer in our Halloween tent we made pumpkin plates and provided tables and implements for pumpkin carving. However there was one pumpkin that really stood out from the crowd. Lit up later that night for our organised Trick or Treating it was quite magnificent and such a lovely design for Coombe Mill.
Most of the leftover pumpkins become a post Halloween feast for Sally the sow and her piglets, however we held this one back to see if we could coax our reluctant Rudolph down for a little breakfast from his bespoke carved dish. It took a little patience and a few practice shots before I captured this one. The moody majestic expression mirrors the pumpkin carving perfectly.
