Here in Cornwall we have been on a good weather roll. From before half term we have been enjoying the best of British weather with long sunny days and glorious sunsets. While much of Europe and even England have experienced summer thunderstorms we have been in a little oasis of our own. I wish I could take the credit for our amazing family holidays in the sun this season but alas it is sheer good luck that has made the past couple of weeks so great for our holiday guests. We ended half term with 80% rebooking for the same week next year; if you are thinking of joining us for Whitsun week next year be quick as there are now only a few properties left.
Personally I think “the law of Sod” comes into play with the weather. We have refitted our indoor play barn this year with wonderful soft play for under 5’s and created a spacious games room with pool and ping pong for older children. With our ‘all weather’ facilities in place, the sun was bound to shine!
Summer Days on the Farm
Many of our guests with younger children have been making the most of the facilities right here on the farm this week and not leaving the estate at all. With outdoor BBQ’s, the river to paddle in, play areas and animals to visit all day it is easy to create family holidays in the sun without ever leaving Coombe Mill.
My photos this week all reflect the gorgeous weather and the beauty it has created here at Coombe Mill.
The morning animal feed run is a highlight of staying here, I love to see the children interacting with the animals.
