Card games have always been popular with adults and children. From grown up bridge circles to children’s games like Happy Families and Go fish they have stood the test of time. With my children card games are right up there for essential travel items along with technology as they take up so little space yet provide ours of entertainment. Each one of my children will have a card game tucked away in their bedroom and they randomly come out to fill in a quite hour here on the farm.
It didn’t take Clio long to unwrap the latest pack coming through the post from Go for it Games and put them to the test.
The thing that really makes this version of ‘Happy Families’ and ‘Go Fish’ special is the name. You can choose from a whole range of popular surnames to play with. Whether it is your name, a friend or neighbour it adds a little extra fun to the cards. Many of the cards also contain interesting Trivia facts about the name too so you can learn a little name history at the same time. We tested the Smith and the Jones Family with both games. Even though it isn’t our own family name it still made for a fun game, though I would imagine if this was your name it would add even more fun to the characters.
