The gel comes in coloured tubes that you squeeze to make your design, much like icing a cake. Everything you need from starter templates to a tray to let your designs set is included in the pack. Be as adventurous as you like with the designs or follow the simple template shapes provided. Simply leave to set, peel, wear and share!
What we thought of Gel-a-Peel
We found the gel simple and fun to use and designs come together quickly which is rewarding. You might want to have a little practice go first if you are not familiar with using cake icing or have a practice making some decorative cup cakes first. Remember to keep applying an even pressure when making your design to avoid weak points when it sets.
You will need to allow time for layers of colour to set between applications of gel. We then left our finished designs overnight to set completely before peeling and wearing.
Try to avoid getting the gel on your hands, it does come off but needed a good application of washing up liquid to do so.
See how we got on designing a Gel-a-Peel bracelet and creating fun letters with the templates provided in this fun little video.
