Finding new and innovative toys from birth upwards isn’t that easy. Toys need to be primarily safe, but also engaging for baby’s discovery in the first few years of life. We thing we may have found the perfect toy. Musical Animals from Baby To Love. This adorable collection introduces babies and young children to the delights of the animal world in a safe, imaginative and soothing form.
Meet the Musical Animals
Choose from Madeleine, Luca, Achille, Vincent and Jean. Each has a music box stored away inside them surrounded by a super soft textured animal in rounded form. These delightful animals come in a variety of pastel colours related to their wild animal equivalent and are sure to be a popular addition to any bedroom or playroom
Each animal boasts a different soothing melody. Simply pull the cord from the underneath of the animal and the tune will begin to play. Madeleine the Whale plays Swan Lake, Jean the Toucan flies in the sky to Over the Rainbow and Achille the Crocodile, who we have, plays the gentle Fur Elise.

More about the extraordinary Lost Book of Adventure
The origins of this book are quite extraordinary. I am always keen to see who the author is on a book, this one simply states “from the notebooks of the Unknown Adventurer” which had me curious. It turns out the contents of the book originate from a chest discovered in the Amazon by Teddy Keen. Notes, journals and sketchbooks have been carefully pieced together by Teddy on behalf of the unknown author to create this comprehensive resource.
The book is packed with highly illustrative tips on every aspect of outdoor survival. Whether you are wild camping, raft building, exploring off the beaten track or simply making a fire pit in the garden there is guidance here to help you. It is well laid out as a reference book for the activities you want to research and one to return to time and time again. It takes the reader right from basics like what type of knife to carry and how to hold and use it safely, to how to build a wild camp.
What we love
- Sheer scale of topics covered
- Written from experience
- Inspires children to embrace adventure
- Helpful safety tips for wild explorers
- Beautiful illustrations on every page
- Easy to take inspiration and apply to your own adventure
Taking inspiration from The lost Book of Adventure
It was flicking through my copy of the Lost Book of Adventure that prompted my Den building and Campfire Activity Hour session here on the farm. It was easily one of the most enjoyed sessions here and showed me just how much kids love the chance to embrace their wild side.

If you are struggling for the perfect father’s Day gift this year, we may just have the most innovative, fun filled answer for any adrenaline loving risk taking Dad out there who is game for a laugh. Lightning Reaction Reloaded from Prezzybox is a game quite unlike any other. It is all about fast reaction time and watch out if you are slowest to respond as you’ll receive an electric shock so everyone knows just who was caught out. Definitely a game for adults and older kids, but don’t worry, the electric shock is adjustable so you can make it as shocking or not as you choose.
If you fancy giving the Dad in your house a shock this Father’s Day and creating some family entertainment time that will give you all a laugh and keep the kids happily off the screens for a while then read on to discover more about Lightning Reaction Reloaded and how you can win yourself a game.
More about Lightning Reaction Reloaded
The game is can be played with two, three or four players. It needs loading with 3*AAA batteries then each player takes a handset. Press the start button and the sound begins. When the sound stops the light goes from red to green indicating it is time to press the handset trigger. Be the last to react and you are in for the shock. Press too soon and the same will happen!
Lightning Reaction Reloaded is recommended for age 14 plus due to the electric shock effect. However we have played it responsibly on a low setting with adult supervision with our children from age 10 and they love it. That said the game is unsuitable for anyone using a pacemaker, suffering epilepsy or heart conditions and it is not advised for pregnant women.
What we love
- It is a great party game
- Tests reaction speed
- The level of shock can be turned up or down
- Great fun for teens and adults
- Easy to set up and play
See how much fun it can be in our short video clip:
