Indulge in a premium culinary experience at Coombe Meadow. Our Luxury Self Catering with Pizza Oven Cornwall allows you to enjoy outdoor BBQs and professional pizza cooking right on-site. Beyond the Luxury Self Catering with Pizza Oven, you can enjoy seasonal fruit gathered straight from our orchard.
BBQs
Al fresco dining is one of the great joys of the summer months, and our barbecue areas are always popular with guests. It’s a wonderful way to socialise and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air by the river while children play nearby.
On the front lawns of our holiday lodges, you’ll find two large, purpose-built BBQs, complete with serving tools. Please feel free to light them up and use them at any time. There are also smaller BBQs stored in the log store, which can be taken around the grounds or into your garden.
Perhaps most impressive is our indoor BBQ, which seats up to 15 people and is warm, dry and inviting all year round. This all-weather BBQ space can be enjoyed in any season, with plenty of room for two or more families to gather and share a meal together.
Pizza oven
We know from our own children, that when offered pizza as an option, they always jump at the chance. However, instead of a delivery or popping it in the oven, we have now gone one step further and installed our very own outdoor pizza oven. Why not supplement those summer barbecues and impress family and friends with some homemade pizzas. All you need to do is to ask for the ‘pizza paddle’ and we will bring it to your lodge for you to use.
Grocery Deliveries
You can order online from any of the major supermarkets, but please make sure you include the property name and the booking name you used to book your holiday with us so we know where to send them. You’ll need to arrive ahead of your supermarket order to sign for it.
Orchard
Our orchard is developing nicely and free for you to amble through and collect the fruits of our labour!
Fresh Spring Water
The water coming through the taps in your property is all fresh mountain water from the Coombe hills. We are not on mains water but instead have our own water treatment plant on-site and the mountain water goes from here straight to your tap. No need to bring bottled water, though you may want some empties to take ours home!
Eating out
Look under our Family Days Out section under pubs and restaurants for details of some excellent local pubs just minutes from Coombe Mill. We can always arrange babysitting if you fancy an adults-only evening.
