We have an indoor Gym which is for over 14 years only. It includes a substantial multi gym, cross trainer, rowing machine, treadmill, and bike. Lighting, TV and heating is operated by a meter box so your session may occasionally cost a pound. The wonderful views over the river are free! Outside equipment is located next to the gym providing a little gentle fun for all.
For a little bit of family fun why not try out the 6 hole crazy golf course on the farm. Placed nect to the train it’s a great place to encourage a little family competition whilst waiting for the train or before heading back to the properties of an evening. Farmer Nick has really turned his hand to creating some interesting challenges to overcome here!
A dry bike lock up point is available at the rear of the main log store. Please bring your own chain and lock for this. Famous Camel Trail begins 1 mile from Coombe Mill and extends to Padstow offering 17 miles of safe off road cycling. There are lots of cycle hire options available locally, just ask us for details.
There is a Badminton Net set up on the front lawn. Rackets and shuttle cocks are available for your use from the borrow room in reception. We also have a cricket set and more to borrow.
The river at Coombe Mill provides a fun natural swimming pool but wise to wear footwear and ensure children are supervised at all times. There is a local indoor pool available for Coombe Mill guests located just 1 mile away as well as many local beaches just a stone’s throw away.
We have teamed up with Camelford Leisure centre, just 10 minute drive from Coombe Mill, to allow Coombe Mill guests to use the centre’s facilities for free. Take advantage of the full length pool for public swim, kids inflatable swim sessions, kayaking or lane swimming. Children under 8 must be accompanied, over 8’s can swim under lifeguard supervision without parents. There is a gym and tennis courts available too. Fitness classes in the sports hall are bookable at favourable members rates as are kids club days over the school holidays or one to one swimming lessons. If you enjoy a challenge why not try a hilly run from Coombe Mill. There are three loops taking you either 2.75, 4 or 6 miles returning to the farm or for off road the camel trail is 1 mile from us for a flat scenic run.
