Two weeks today , the keys to Coombe Mill changed hands. More quietly, a new rhythm began.

For many years, this valley has been filled with family laughter and shared moments. As the new stewards of this land, we feel a deep responsibility — not only to care for its beauty, but to honour its calm.

In the months ahead, you may notice subtle changes. We are choosing to simplify, to soften, and to allow the land to return to a more natural state. Nothing sudden, nothing forced — just a gentle easing into a quieter way of being.

The deer who move quietly through the landscape will remain part of this place — silent witnesses to the passing of seasons, reminding us to slow down, observe, and listen.

Life at Coombe is not defined by ownership or activity, but by rhythm — of nature, of rest, and of everyday moments lived with more presence.
